Viewpoint's achievements include:
As the only nonprofit photographic art center in the greater Sacramento region with more than 500 members and two galleries, Viewpoint works hard to support, sustain and grow its programming and activities. Each year, multiple exhibits are presented, showcasing regional, national, international, and emerging artists representing a broad range of visions and techniques.
A host of programs that support Viewpoint’s mission of fostering photographic art, include monthly workshops, lectures, field trips, print and portfolio nights for members, 2nd Saturday receptions, and the newly created Photography Month Sacramento. This is an important piece of community programming and Viewpoint is the flagship organization making it happen every year in April.
Viewpoint is also proud of it's growing student program that nurtures and encourages students of photography by offering free student-only events designed to cultivate budding photographers and supplement impacted high school and college arts programs.
Month-long exhibits and events draw approximately 25,000 visitors to the Viewpoint annually. Your support makes it all possible!
