Bio
Brittany’s journey as an artist began by photographing the stunning landscapes of the Pacific Northwest and continued into the applications of portraiture and wedding photography. This led to her establishing her first photography company in 2012 while also working in multiple disciplines in the Film Industry of Portland, Oregon. Living in Portland during a time when the city was filled with creative, independent artists and filmmakers was supremely inspiring and helped Brittany develop her cinematic eye.
In 2016, Brittany started her studies in Graphic Design. Her experience studying graphic design is evident in Brittany’s photography. The design world has certainly influenced how she sees the world, and her use of leading lines, layers, texture, and negative space gives her an impeccable eye for details and the subtle nuances of light. This leads to visually striking images that really stand out. These combined experiences in Graphic Design and the Film Industry helped mold and influence her attention toward light, color, and composition in her work.
In 2018, Brittany developed an interest in teaching photography and started working as a Staff Photographer for The Ansel Adams Gallery, one of the most prestigious fine art photography galleries. She went on to manage the photographic education department as the Education Coordinator and ran their workshop program. Working in Yosemite National Park at The Ansel Adams Gallery helped combine her passion for being in the great outdoors, teaching photography, and photographing the wilderness of Yosemite and the High Sierra. Brittany has now struck out on her own, launching multiple businesses focused on fine art, photography education, and empowering women through flying dress and goddess-style photo sessions in the majestic Sierra and beyond.
