Explore with Your Camera: McKinley Park Rose Garden

Rose Garden Sacramento (1024)2

This is the second field trip workshop offered at Viewpoint and it's going to be visually stunning!  Join instructor Jim Wilson for a fun photographic cooperative learning experience at Sacramento's own McKinley Park Rose Garden.  While a rose may seem a more common subject, the creativity is in the detail. You will work with the instructor to find new and challenging ways to make wonderful images in and near the park's rose garden. There will be general instruction and sharing as well as creative brainstorming and image review.

You may bring snacks, water, and your creative energy to work for three hours of morning light photographing roses, colorful plants and everything else the group can discover that needs your talents and vision to make beautiful images.  You will have three hours to find different subjects, view from different perspectives, play with special techniques, and photographically interpret what you see. You will be amazed at what can come from a morning of photographers having fun, sharing what you find, seeing with your backgrounds, and building colorful stories arising from working together amongst the "roses".

Contact Jim Wilson for more information and questions.

Requests:  No pets please as they may disrupt the work flow.  Additional details will be provided once you sign up for the workshop.
